Breaking Dawn to start filming as early as this fall??

Premiere of Summit Entertainment's "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" - Party

January 11, 2010 -- The L.A. Times is reporting that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner could start filming the fourth installment of 'The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn' as early as fall. 'Twilight' producer Wyck Godfrey says that the creative team still doesn't know how they will handle the characters in 'Breaking Dawn' but that the plan for production is moving forward.

At the moment 'Twilight' screen writer Melissa Rosenberg is working on the 'Breaking Dawn' script(s). The final decision on whether or not the movie will be split in to two parts has yet to be decided. Godfrey says they're waiting for the script to see where to go from there.

Could 'New Moon' director Chris Weitz be back to direct 'Breaking Dawn?'
When ask about the possibility of Chris Weitz who directed 'New Moon' would come back to direct 'Breaking Dawn' Godfrey says that even though there's been a lot of online chatter "I think everyone would be happy and excited if he came back, but I don't think it's going to happen."

"We're just focused on the treatment and getting that right. At that point, we're going to see who's available and who's appropriate. It's such a complicated book because you have the emotions and the intensity of the love story -- so you need somebody who's just a wonderful director of actors -- and yet it's really complicated from an action and visual effects standpoint. They've got to have both tools in their kit."

Although most of the details still need to be worked out producers are saying that 'Breaking Dawn' could begin filming as early as fall. The third installment of 'The Twilight Saga, Eclipse' is due out in theaters on June 30th.
