Stephanie Meyer talks Twilight graphic novel

"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" Los Angeles Premiere - Arrivals

The Twilight Graphic Novel is set to be released on March 16th. Stephanie Meyer talked to Entertainment Weekly about the new novel's release. "I was definitely involved. I didn’t do the original “script” for the book, so to speak. But when I got the dialogue with the images, I did a lot of tinkering. In a couple of places, I asked for missing scenes to be inserted. For example, the conversation in the car that Bella and Edward have after she faints in Biology." Said Meyer.

"For me, it takes me back to the days when I was writing Twilight. It’s been a while since I was really able to read Twilight; there is so much baggage attached to that book for me now. It seems like all I can see are the mistakes in the writing. Reading Young’s version brought me back to the feeling I had when I was writing and it was just me and the characters again. I love that. I thank her for it."

As far as the future of Twilight Meyer says; I can’t say that I am done with Twilight forever. I’m not working on anything new Twilight-related now, and probably not for a while. But there’s still a possibility that I’ll go back and close some of the open doors." ---> Let's hope so!!!

Stephanie Meyer releases statement about 'Breaking Dawn' rumors

The World Premiere Of The Twilight Saga: New Moon

Stephanie Meyer released a statement on her website this week about all the rumors surrounding the "Breaking Dawn" movie. Here's what Stephanie had to say.

Just a quick note on the subject of the Breaking Dawn film: there is no drama over whether the book should be one movie or two. My personal feeling is that it would be very difficult to cram the whole story into one movie (as I’ve said in many interviews previous to this), but if a great way of doing that surfaces, I’m all for it. Two or one, whichever way fits the story best is fine by me, and everyone I’ve spoken with at Summit seems to feel the same way. We’re all excited to move forward on this, and we are slowly and surely getting there. I know people are anxious for news, and so sometimes gossip get fabricated to stir things up, but there’s no basis to this particular story.

Breaking Dawn to start filming as early as this fall??

Premiere of Summit Entertainment's "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" - Party

January 11, 2010 -- The L.A. Times is reporting that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner could start filming the fourth installment of 'The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn' as early as fall. 'Twilight' producer Wyck Godfrey says that the creative team still doesn't know how they will handle the characters in 'Breaking Dawn' but that the plan for production is moving forward.

At the moment 'Twilight' screen writer Melissa Rosenberg is working on the 'Breaking Dawn' script(s). The final decision on whether or not the movie will be split in to two parts has yet to be decided. Godfrey says they're waiting for the script to see where to go from there.

Could 'New Moon' director Chris Weitz be back to direct 'Breaking Dawn?'
When ask about the possibility of Chris Weitz who directed 'New Moon' would come back to direct 'Breaking Dawn' Godfrey says that even though there's been a lot of online chatter "I think everyone would be happy and excited if he came back, but I don't think it's going to happen."

"We're just focused on the treatment and getting that right. At that point, we're going to see who's available and who's appropriate. It's such a complicated book because you have the emotions and the intensity of the love story -- so you need somebody who's just a wonderful director of actors -- and yet it's really complicated from an action and visual effects standpoint. They've got to have both tools in their kit."

Although most of the details still need to be worked out producers are saying that 'Breaking Dawn' could begin filming as early as fall. The third installment of 'The Twilight Saga, Eclipse' is due out in theaters on June 30th.
